Holiday home by Lake Balaton

We designed a holiday home for a young family in the Upper-Balaton region. The commission was for a building that can be built in different phases, with a simple structure that adapts to the architecture of the region. The elongated building has a double-pitched roof and differs from the typical setup in the Upper-Balaton region in that it is set perpendicular to the gentle slope. This is because the grapevine rows had already been established on the lot, although sun exposure and the view from the building are also better this way.

The roof of the building is covered with natural tiles, the walls are plastered in an off-white color, and the walls on the northern, windy side are clad in local stone.
The installation of the first floor, sun protection, and the covered patio will be carried out during a later phase.
