In the case of the interior design planning process for Miki’s apartment we reversed the planning process, and instead of leaving the selection of paintings to the end, these elements became the core of the concept, which we then extended to the entire apartment. The central element of the living space is the bookcase in the living room. This is where the owner’s book collection and desk has been housed. Not coincidentally, the owner embarked on writing a novel after the apartment was finished, starting a new life in many other respects as well.
